SAVE THE PLANET NEPAL successfully organized 5th edition of Love The Nature campaign. On the occasion of 14th Feb. ( Valentine's Day), we started to celebrate as nature is our valentine: Love The Nature. The globe celebrate this day as love between two hearts but we love between a heart and the nature: Love The Nature. The theme of this program is: to divert the craze of love in youth toward nature too. By the recognization to this programme by IUCN in 2011, we have moved one step forward and start to demand/advocate with Government of Nepal to celebrate this day as: National Nature Lover's Day ( NNL
4th episode of Love The Nature was organized in Jhapa district. The chief guest of this program was IUCN
Program Coordinator Mr. Rajendra Khanal. Celebrity Guest of this program was Miss Nepal Earth Miss
Nagma Shrestha. Similarly, representative from DDC jhapa, DFO Jhapa, FNCCI Jhapa, DOR Jhapa, Geo-
conservation office jhapa and different school/college students and teachers and representative from
different organizations were presence as guest to share their ideas and experience about nature. District
level art/drawing competition related to nature was performed by school students, where Niharika B.S. won
first prize, Dreamland B. S. second and Suryodaya B.S. won third position.
The first episode was held in panchthar district, remaining three in Kathmandu and it was second program
which was celebrate in outside Kathmandu valley. All the guests and participants were committeed their
commitment by signing on signature campaign. We are very proud to perform this campaign. MechiUnesco
Club Jhapa was co-organizer as local partner of this program.
